Lapid cannot simply say he wants to revive the negotiations and leave it at that. The Palestinians have been clear about their conditions for returning to the table, so is Lapid going to conceded that? I doubt it. I cannot reconcile his stand on negotiations with his view that Habayit Hayehudi is a natural partner. If he insists on Habayit's inclusion then it will take an act of faith to believe that he seriously cares about the negotiations.
