In retrospect, the overwhelming Israeli victory in June of 1967 had turned into a disaster not only for the Arabs, but also for the Israelis as well. Israeli officials are fond of saying "The Arabs never miss an apporunity to miss an apportunity", this is also true for the successive Israeli government that had a chance to turn the 1967 victory into a permenant peace with its neighbors, instead the intoxication of its militray led it into countless unnessary wars, more death and sorrow. Now it is encircling itself with a 12' concrete fence in an illusional sense of security ignoring the fact that there are over a million Palesinians still live within the fence and Israel proper, not to mention that rockets can still fly over 12' fences.
