Israel must extend, if not from the Nile to the Euphrates, from the Med to the Jordan. That is the message. Why cannot Israelis be honest? Why not be honest? That is not a horrible thing to ask. In 1967 I wanted to see Israel have one single day of peace during my life. I still want that. And I understand that so long as there is a Palestinian, there can be no peace for Israel unless there is peace for Palestine. And thus if Israel is determined - as this story shows - that it will never allow any Palestine or Palestinians to remain between the Med and the Jordan, then why can't Israel be honest? Thankfully the vast majority of Palestinians are not suicidal. Were they, Israel might get what it wanted, millions of dead Palestinians, at a cost of many more millions of dead Israelis. But is that what Israel wants? Not all Israelis. But many Israelis will settle for nothing less than the extermination of Palestinians. And those Israelis control the government.
