When Reagan was President Hezbollah set off a bomb at the Marine barracks in Beruit killing a lot of Marines. Other than that I know of no terrorist acts . Hezbollah seems to have evolved into a political para-military organization. Pretty much the same way the Haganah, a Jewish terrorist organization, evolved into the IDF. During the last Lebanon war Hezbollah captured two Israeli soldiers hoping to trade them for a lot of people kidnapped from Lebanon and held in Israeli prisons. Israel launched a massive military adventure with the stated goals of freeing the two captives and destroying Hezbollah. Hezbollah fought the Israelis while the Lebanese army sat in their barracks refusing to engage the invadeing Israeli army. Hezbollah made a serious effort to protect the country and prevented Israel from achieving their stated goals. Hezbollah has since won seats in the government and continue to improve their military assets as a first line of defense from any attack from Israel.
