The marginal gains of any additional settlement outweigh any conceivable benefit..and in the end Israel will be forced to back down under pressure..Is this good for Israel's credibility and bargaining position vis a vis the Palestinian's? There are enough structures in the areas in question to make the point that these blocks are likely to remain in Israel under any accommodation with the Palestinians...This is a needless and counterproductive measure from Israel's point of view... On the other hand... I am against external imposition of any terms by either the US or the EU.. The Israeli government has to display more wisdom in its own long-term interest and face certain realities....
