By marking this anniversary, Israeli Arabs are reminding us that it was they who mounted unprovoked, violent attacks on their Jewish neighbours inside the 'Green Line'. They blocked main traffic arteries, stoned motorists, attacked Jewish villages in the Galilee, and murdered a motorist by dropping a rock on his car as he drove under a bridge along the Haifa-Tel Aviv highway near Jisr al-Zarka. This was no bunch of stoned students railing at the 'establishment'. It was a series of violent, full blown riots. Haaretz, it was reported then, so why don't you provide some background now?
