This is heartening. War is harsh, and occupoation is even worse, but I'm delighted to see that the IDF follows something like the US Code of Military Justice (USCMJ) which guides how American soldiers behave in Iraq and Afganistan.
Some ignore the Code, but enough are charged and punished that the lesson sticks.
If the US Army behaves like Al Qeda, then what have we bulit except the world's most powerful terrorist organization? The same principle applies to the IDF.
