Just because Barak was brave in the IDF doesn't mean he's any good at defence minster - a totaly different set of skills are required. There once was a French captain, who after a deed of great bravery was promoted to General, but in the next battle, he escaped his command staff, as he couldn't take the pressure of the large scale battle. His aides eventually found him with a small artility unit, happliy commanding them, and ignoring all else.
