The father of a kidnapped son can hardly be expected to act in the interest if the big picture. I have only sympathy for Noam Shalit, even if the result comes at a high (and arguably shameful) cost. That said, this is clearly a raw deal for Israel and a slight "victory" handed to the pals. Kidnapping for ransom or any purpose in the civilized world is a high crime with high consequences. Committed by a people with national aspirations, it should be considered no less a crime. Hamas top leadership should be brought before an international tribunal for their crimes, not lauded for some sort of victory.
