"Virtually the entire Israeli public is ready for a final-status agreement, according to the familiar principles. Virtually the entire Palestinian public supports these principles, according to all of the most recent surveys." Well, Mr. Beilin, you wouldn't be talking about East Jerusalem being turned over to the PA as the capital of Palestine, the so-called and nonexistent "right of return" for 4.5 million Palestinian refugees and their descendants to Israel proper, and the Green Line as the border would you? Maybe you're referring to some other "familiar principles", but would you mind being more specific as to exactly which principles that virtually all Israelis and Palestinians support because I'm having difficulty finding any principle that both parties can agree to unless it's peace in very vague and general terms.
