The city of Varosha is a very small part of Famagusta that was offered to the Greek cypriots by Turkey under the Annan plan in 2004 but the Greeks rejected it. It also had the right of return for both Turks and Greeks to previous cyprus communities. But what does this have to do with Israel and Gaza? Is it because the Turks are Muslims that they have to be held to a higher standard of morality if they want to help Gazans? If thats the case then there is no Perfect Islamic country without fault or a perfect Jewish state for that matter? Does that thinking get us anywhere and alleviate suffering? If the Donor has to be an ideal just Utopian State , then we would have no donors in this world who qualify except for the polar bears in Antarctica.
