All, I discussed what this gives Palestine - a 100% veto on exchanges of territory and rejection of any Israeli claims on EJ as pre-judgement of 'final status'. Also condemnations of Israel on Gaza, EJ, everything else. What does it give Israel? 1. The EU upgrade (expressed at the Association Council in June 2009). 2. Recognition of the 'partial and temporary settlement freeze' and of the 'effort to ease restriction of movement in West Bank' 3. 'A way must be found to resolve the status of Jerusalem as the capital of two states' implicit recognition of West Jerusalem as the Capitol of Israel. 4. Called on Pals to release Shalit. 5. Calls on Arabs to make 'reciprocal gestures'. What is left out. No guarantee of security even w/i Israel's 67 borders. No recognition of Jewish refugees. No limitation of Pal ROR or any Pal claims on Green Line Israel. No condemnation or even rejection of terror.
