For years, America gave Israel three billion each year as the primary "gift". There are a number of other "allowances" but let's focus on the primary one for now. This gift was directed to be split in two, with two billion each year for purchases in America and one billion to be used for purchases in Israel. The portion to be spent in Israel could also be used for research and development. Israel doesn't like oversight and congress never seemed interested in the oversight of any of this money. The last report of how this money was being spent was made four years ago. It specified that millions were paid to buy hand scribed mezuzahs from Jewish American "craftsmen". After this nothing. One thing is certain. Israel has not been buying American aircraft. They really don't need to since they have more than 200 F-16's. This money comes from American tax payers but all it does is buy grief for others. This grief will eventually find its way back to the people who provided the money and who cared so little about how it was used.
