I trust the British Intelligence Services are gong to co-operate on this one. After all, Dubai is in their patch, and the killers did use fake British passports. The UK government made quite a fuss, quite rightly, of a Russian killed in London by the KGB, and that has soured UK-Russian relations for quite some time. If and when the culprits are identified, I would expect the same frosting of relations to occur this time round as well. Extra-judicial assassination contravenes international law and is the imprimatur of gangsters. Another motive for tracking down who did it is the SIS need to show they are on the side of the "goodies". Their involvement with CIA interrogations using torture has quite rightly badly dented their image at home. However, if it should ever come out that they assisted in this operation in any way, or did not reveal information they knew of the op, then they will seriously have undermined their own country?s security by forcing changes to the way they operate.
