What a pathetic assumption. I whole heartedly believe that EVERY democracy should teach its citizens and its children that its democracy is flawed. However, I wouldn't make Israel the example. It's the schism in its existence that makes Israel special, for good and bad. However, it can only be an arrogant academic that actually believes that the ideal "democracy" can actually exist in a human world.
