I have yet to see one Israeli analysis that thinks there would be some advantage to the Palestinians to not pursuing the UN bid. Every analysis implies that things won't get worse for the Palestinians is they don't pursue the bid. Not that Israel would recognize and negotiate in good faith with Palestine if the bid were withdrawn. Netanyahu is a member of Likud whose platform denies the Palestinian right to exist. Likud heads a government that has the same policies. Has the current Israeli government even authorized a negotiation toward a Palestinian state? If so, on what basis?
