Why don't you also ask Syria to teach its students that its dictatorship is flawed? I think the real question we should be asking is would the outcome be any different if Rabin was not assassinated. Would Arafat turn out to be an honest man after 1995? Would Hamas rewrite its charter to remove "total destruction of Israel" as one of its primary objectives? The obvious answer is no. The Palestinians claim that the intifada happened because Israel didn't give away land and power fast enough. How fast would Rabin have done it? Would the Pals still be unsatisfied? I surely think so.
