Israel bashing has been fashionable within the academy since the early 1990's. And Brandeis has been in the forefront of urging academia to join the BDS movement. I do find it interesting that during that anti-Apartheid movement scholars never proposed or implemented an academic boycott of South Africa. In that case it was an ECONOMIC boycott. Perhaps one of the far left geniuses who edit Haaretz can figure why academics haven't proposed an ECONOMIC boycott of Israeli companies or of companies which have huge investments in Israel. Hint: do you use a cell phone or take generic drugs or try to run a secure cloud computing operation or run a modern looking website?
