a bit puzzling why everyone keeps referring to this as "people-power!" and "a democratic victory!". it was a military coup. the military had been waiting for the right moment to seize power and in the chaos, it found it. i hardly see this as a good thing in terms of democracy. can anyone think of a single time in which a military taking over its own country turned out good?
