And Israel is right to demand this because if the Palestinians refuse it means they still do not accept the core reasons for the partition of "Palestine", nor even the 1947 UN Partition Plan which specifically stated a JEWISH state and an Arab state. The reason Israel never demanded this recognition from Egypt and Jordan is because they ostensibly were claiming they were defending the interests of the Palestinian Arabs. So their recognition of the Jewish state is secondary. In the end, it's up to the Palestinian Arabs to declare their conflict with the Jewish State of Israel over and the end of any further claims. Until that happens, this whole thing ultimately is a useless farce.
