How come it doesn't sink into Barak's redoubtable kop that while we were given the benefit of the doubt in past negotiations, all semblance of confidence in our peaceful intentions has now evaporated? This is why, unlike previous negotiations when we assured them that the route of the wall didn't mean a thing territorially but was simply preventing terrorism, and that building settlements didn't mean we would keep them if a peace accord was reached, they are no longer fooled.
