and I'm sure it was around in the early 60's and knowing myself, I would have liked this dessert. What I do remember as a child in Israel is the Artik (ice popsicle) which was red, blue and white or yellow, and buying it for 5 agurot (cents) when I was in grade 1 in 1966-67. But it must have made a great impression this artik because as a kindergarten drawing of mine with a house interior shows the influence of this artik with the table cloth colours being the same as the artik! Just goes to show you we're all influenced by our environments and what we're exposed to.
