My thinking the last 3 years was that PM Netanyahu wanted to bring along a consensus with his more right-leaning (Lieberman, Yaalon, etc.) and religious coalition partners (Shas) towards achieving a peace agreement with the PA. An Israeli Government with less dissenting members of Knesset to a peace agreement would have been ideal for all. But this did not happen. So I'm thinking, how can anyone vote Likud in the next election when it's actually not going to, as Akiva Eldar states, " present its position on the subject of borders and security." ? According to what's agreed upon with the Quartet's support (which includes the U.N.), these were obligations Israel had to meet. So that's a disappointment and all this defers a peace agreement with the PA.
