I think, the moment i sing my national anthem is just a moment of pride and for that matter for many people from different countries. In Turkey this starts at elemantry school till the end of high school. I remember the times that we would gather in the garden and sing it as the entire school on Monday mornings and Friday afternoons. But I think kindergarten is a little too extreme, they are just kids. And to be honest, singing the anthem just becomes a routine which makes you think singing the anthem is dull. And I am saying this as a pretty nationalist Turk studying in the US. I would like to sing my anthem at a moment (e.g. international game, national holiday) where the hair on my back would go up and feel the pride as a Turk not when i'm sleepy as hell on a monday morning or just wanna get out of school on a friday afternoon.
