Israel couldn't get Hezbollah or Hamas to bend to its will by attacking them, so what on earth makes anyone think that Iran will? Have you looked at a map of the world and noticed how vast Iran is compared to, say, Gaza, which Israel tried but failed to subdue? Do some Israelis actually believe in the fatuous and self-serving notion that by attacking Iran "the people" will rise up and overthrow their oppressors, and thank Israel for "saving" them? Too much believing in the old sing-song that because most Iranians hate the regime it's just a matter of time until they overthrow it. There are many examples to the contrary. And, like it or not, Iran is becoming one of them. Maybe some country can influence events there in a positive direction, but Israel is not one of them. Israel better not overplay its already-weak hand.
