Very good point Levy, I think you already hit the nail on the head when you said that the term "Zionist" or "Zionism" is being strongly contested now, with a surge of "neo-Zionism" in the left wing sector, a Zionism that opposes the occupation but supports the state. When there are three factions in Israel, the Zionists, neo-Zionists and anti-Zionists, all wanting opposite things, it tends to leave a lot of the core issues that you've mentioned unresolved. We need a strong, driven Prime Minister, someone of the character and vitality of Ben Gurion or Begin.
