Here I was convinced by my Jewish friends that Jews love all children. Guess they will be pretty distressed that this is not true after all. I have fought for nearly 40 years for justice for aboriginal kids in Australia and for the last 6 to stop my own government from locking up kids in concentration camps. One of the most wonderful things that happened here was a group formed called "Jews for refugees" and the people they visited were from Iran, Iraq, Palestine, Somalia, Afghanistan and all over the world. Salt of the earth. Jews in Australia have helped make films about locking up kids, they have helped to write articles and books and they have some of the greatest minds in this country. Most of them had one or both parents, or cousins or uncles who survived the dreadful holocaust. Silly me to think that the Australian Jewish community was the standard for Israel.
