actions speak louder than words, no? hamas has been acting more legitimately, especially since the reconciliation with fatah. and despite their WORDS about bin laden, hamas police shut down a pro-bin laden rally. really, recognition of israel is just politics-- if they say israel has the right to exist, they lose supporters to more radical groups, and rockets continue. hamas has exactly two cards in negotiations-- recognizing israel, and gilad shalit. why would they just throw one away? and besides, why should they recognize israel's right to exist, when israel only views them as a terrorist organization, and won't recognize the fact that they were elected into power? both israel and hamas have done really shitty things and their MUTUAL mistrust is wholly understandable.
