Iran has stalled answering a relatively few questions, and allowing a small number of interviews for too long. That intransigence has not served Iran well. The NPT clearly allows the IAEA access to the information and people. The problem for Israel and the USA is what if Iran actually stops playing games and gives the IAEA what it wants? The issue for the UN is Iran's compliance with the NPT, which requires unrestricted compliance with the IAEA. What happens if the IAEA were able to certify that Iran was in full compliance? Hopefully the UN would insist not only upon compliance to the spirit as well as the letter of the NPT, but a full return to the Additional Protocols which Iran also signed.
