Israel is a light unto the nations though and she does have to find a way to do an even better job handling her minority. I do object to the criticism on the basis that it is directed with blinders on, as if Israel is the one country out of step. I object because despite the fact that Israel has attempted to deal with the minority, that other countries would call a fifth column, the finger is pointed at her. I object because the moralists don't ask how jews are treated in syria, or mexicans in the usa, or blacks in roumania, or irish in england. Do we need to do better? of course we do.
