Amir Oren and Aluf Benn are two of the most respected Israeli journalists on defense, political and diplomatic issues. However, they have become absolutely paranoid about Netanyahu being supposedly hell-bent on going to war with Iran. First Nehushtan, then Eshel and now Gantz have been urged in the Israeli press to virtually mutiny against civilian leadership if the govt decides to strike Iran. This is leading to more and more Ha'aretz articles that are based on the thinnest of "news" and great amounts of rumor. Pretty soon Ha'aretz is going to be indistinguishable from a left-wing equivalent of DEBKAfile.
