Although I fully support that there should exist Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) with the ability to openly criticize government activities the whole world over, there is an additional twist when it comes to many of these Israeli-based organizations with a bent on attacking the Israeli government. There has been an everpresrent very powerful anti-Israel / anti-Jewish movements emanating from different parts of the world at different junctures in the last two thousand years of our history, the driving force behind these being rampant antisemetism. Jews have survived pogroms in Europe. We have survived the Spanish Inquisition. We have survived Stalin. We have even survived Hitler. Today our nemesis is a large segment of the Arab Intellecuallia (both religious and secular) who have rejected the existance of modern Israel since and prior to its birth. This anti-Israel block, often downplayed in the Western media is rampant thoughout the Arab world, has been around since the existance of Israel, and is reflected PLO charter and the Hammas Charter both still reject Israel's right to exist (IE: not an argument over 1967 armistance lines, but rather an outright rejection of Israel's right to be here). The problem with most NGOs that attack Israel, is that they are aligned to the or sponsored by the very same movements that reject Isrrael's existance in its entirety. It is my opinion that the author of this article has blurred vision, and cannot distinguish the difference between "Israeli criticising NGOs" with a clean and legitimate agenda to seek out wrong-doings by Israel to that of organizations that have been sullied by an ever-growing anti-Israel rejectionist bias. Thank you.
