    The war against Hezbollah has been lost. It could have been "won", easily, by returning Shebaa farms to Lebanon and the Golan Heights to Syria, to settle the borders; thereafter all prisoners could have been returned. It would have left a stable situation. Olmert is so insistent to repeat Bush's smear campaign against Hezbollah that he missed the chance for creating a more genuine defense in the north against al Qaida type extremists. Hizbollah is a strictly Lebanese resistance against Israeli invasion and occupation. It would have folded into the Lebanese Army and act to prevent extremism. Instead, Olmert acts like a madman. The war confirms in all clarity that Hariri was murdered by Israel plus CIA. Hariri was too strong a leader; he was in the way of the US neocons who appear to have hatched this entire "war plan". Any larger offensive will repeat Iraq. Don't accuse Hezbollah. The fault is Olmert's drug delusions and US weapons, the latter cause of war for all bordering countries.
