Israel has carefully studied the schedule of events to provoke a war with Iran as Syria seems too troubled to help Iran in any way. The proximity to Olympics makes Munich clear to remember and associate. This Mossad execution on expendable every-day Israelis can certainly give the edge to Netanyahu as no one in the USA is going to talk about restraining military action on Iran; yet, not all are laughs. This very move can easily backfire as Syria is in dire need of an excuse to save its crumbling regime and few things are as effective as war to save the life of a dying government. Hamas certainly has nothing to lose in waging war, very much as Hezbollah. The snowball of a war like this can also bring Egypt into question and although most of its power seems to be controlled by the pro-USA military, things are changing very fast in ways Israel may fail to control. In short, it takes being a criminal to carry out an action like this in order to increase the length of Netanhayu's stay into power.
