Don't get your egos involved in war fantasies of rehabilitating lost prides. War is a tragedy to absolutely everyone, except for cynical arms dealers. If the IDF needs to restore its deterrent capability, there are other ways, What about capturing Shalit, Goldwasser and Regev? What about really -but really- preparing effective anti-missile batteries, be it anti-Katyusha, or anti-whatever Iranians can throw at us? What about working on PR in favor of Israel? What about really -but really- forget about the twentieth century, and move into the quicksand situation room of the uncomfortable, assymetrical wars of the twenty-first century? All these things are worthier, more effective, and won't bring about a catastrophe just to serve as some generals egos' viagra.
