The first Israeli onslaught wasn't a war and this won't be one either. It was an attack on a largely defenceless population, by a neighbour with every advantage, whether it be air, land or sea. Small arms together with some anti-tank rounds, do not constitute a defence. The cowardice of bombing from several thousand feet with no threat from below will be repeated at will and the World will watch with horror once again. Any remaining credibilty that Israel has will evaporate with every phosphorous bomb and fletchette shell delivered from miles away. This could be the final straw in World opinion and I sincerely hope some sanctions are brought to bear by the UNSC in the aftermath.
