Actually, Netanyahu undermined his own bizarre statement by saying that giving up land would change nothing but if the Palestinans recognized Israel as a Jewish state, there could be progress — so he does see a solution. Nevertheless, any political leader has to be very, very stupid to make such a negative, game-ending statement. How did he think people would interpret it? That war was the only future available? Or did he simply not think at all?Either way, this is not a competent leader for any country, let alone one in Israel's position.
