iran does not have any significent conventional forces: it does not have an airforce to speak of, nor a decent navy. it has medium ranged missiles and boats/vessels to carry out an assymetrical warfare. its various radar facilities will be easily destroyed. any attempt to close the straight of hormuz will last at most a few weeks. the biggest threat is from the tens of thousands of missiles pointed at the heart of israel. however, that, too, shall be overcome and dealt with. no, i do not see a major challenge in a limited war against iran. when i say limited war, i mean a war whose goal is not to conquer the country and occupy it.
