It is sad that during the time when the Western nations feared Arab Nationalist groups, they often used Fundamentalists to weaken them. Too often, Foreign policy makers are too short sighted. Training what became the founding fathers of al-Qaeda to fight the Russians. Never thing of the long term impacts of empowering Fundamentalist movements like these. Now, hypocritically complaining and blaming others, when the real victims are by in far moderate Muslim populations. It is as if they don't understand every action has consequences. Either that, or they just don't care, another administration's problem to deal with.
