Americans are no longer viewing Israel as we did 40 or more years ago. The settlements are a big issue--Pres Bush (father)had conflicts over the settlements, and the conflicts arisen again w/Obama, when he insisted on halting settlement growth and start to talk peace. Israel doesn't have puppy dog Bush II who allowed Sharon and Olmert to do what they wanted. Obama has a plan and a vision for peace, and this is new and scary for Israelis. Americans do not understand that there was a peace called Oslo in 1995 and then the Rabin assassination and then Bibi's 1st time as a P.M. and the great Peace achievement was lost. In fifteen years since there has been only talk and no peace. Pressure will continued to be put upon Israel because American Security is on the line in the Middle East.
