If this weren't so tragical, involving the lives of ordinary innocent citizens, it would be comical. Conspiracy to murder, assassination of a PM and 22 others, extortion of his successor (his son), threats of civil war in Lebanon by armed thugs, proposed humiliation of an international judicial tribunal by rejecting its findings. Players in this "game" are elements of the government of Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia and perhaps Iran. This is the Middle East in all its "glory": American foreign policy needs to take this reality in consideration and deliberation before it becomes an accessory to a great travesty.
