Wafa and Ma’an say that this is a formal meeting to give Israel a chance to submit its proposal (as Palestine did ages ago) and to announce her acceptance of the 1967 borders. Fat chance, and they know it. - Comment - Israel News | Haaretz Daily Newspaper

It is rather a clever gimmick by the Palestinians to highlight that they are in compliance with the Quartet’s initiative whereas Israel is not. Next the Palestinians will form a government of national unity and will reactivate the UN bid. To be noted as also very significant are Erdogan’s words encouraging Haniyyeh to come to terms with the PLO. Erdogan knows perfectly well that the Palestinians have practically sealed the reconciliation deal and do not need his encouragement. What he was really saying is that Turkey approves of this deal (which she helped broker) and will put her weight behind the united Palestinian government. This is a voice from inside Nato and Israel can ignore it at her own peril. The Palestinians have shown themselves as master diplomats. They have a weak hand by they are going to win the game, like bidding short Clubs. Well folks, the first day of 2012 Anus Domini has been uplifting. Do enjoy the rest of January.

Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn

Why Britain's Labour has become synonymous with anti-Semitism

When senior party members spout vile anti-Jewish theories and at the same time insist they are in no way anti-Semites, they truly believe they are not lying.

Alvy (Woody Allen) and Annie (Diane Keaton) in 'Annie Hall.'
Why is it hard to fall in love, and even harder to sustain it?

The answer can be summed up in one word, narcissism, which manifests itself in three principal ways. There are ways to overcome this love of self, however.
