I think you mean that there is no W sound in Modern Spoken Hebrew. The letter 'Vav' is technically a 'Waw' even though most Israelis don't pronounce it as a 'W' anymore. Historically, there is a difference between Kaf and Quf, and Tav and Thav, Beth/Veth and Waw, and Tav and Tet. Don't forget that Hebrew is a Semetic language, and you should be proud of it's complexities and beautiful, unique sounds.
