Vladimir Medem was a leader of the Bund, a major jewish socialist movement in Poland, and a great promoter of the yiddish culture. True enough, the Bund’s goal was jewish political and cultural autonomy in Poland, not Zionism. However, today Israel should be mature enough to honor a great son of the jewish people. After all, the University of Jerusalem hosts a chemical research institute named after Fritz Haber, a german Nobelprize winner of jewish origin. Haber was the father of chemical warfare during WWI, and was considered a war criminal by the Allies . The developers of Zyklon B had worked under his leadership….
