Israel needs leadership that has a vision for peace with justice and the courage to take us there. Continued settlements are not the path to long term justice. They are a downward spiral to a homeland that will never have peace nor respect. Let us begin anew. Let us look upon the Palestinians as partners. Let us start healing wounds that are sixty years old. The foundations of peace lie in learning to respect each other and treating each other equally. Judaic tradition has us striving for truth and justice. Ben Gurion said Israel would be judged by how it treats the Arabs. It is time to go to the bargaining table prepared to help build a viable Palestine that will be a willing partner with Israel. What better way than to provide technical and economic assistance to Palestine helping it build businesses, restore farms, expand and improve schools, develop import-export opportunities, and achieve viable independence with freedom.
