Many of the responses to this article are people taking the opportunity to insult the pope, his nationality or his religion. These are merely expressions of their own hatreds and offer nothing to the real question, which is "is it right or moral for violent criminals to carry out murderous actions in the name of God". I believe that the pope was wrong to use the quote that he did as it could be seen to be offensive to Muslim believers. But the question, that he raised about all the current violence that is claimed to be carried out in the name of Allah, still remains. I personally do not believe that those who murder men, women and children in Allah's name are believers at all. Their actions deny belief in Allah the merciful.
