There is no better way to signify one's sense of victimization than by biting the hand that supplies the goods. Without American financial and military support what would become of Israel?. How would Israel protect herself from sanctions and other restrictions imposed by the UN in response to Israel's violations of international law without U.S vetoes in the UNSC. The world community as represented by the UNGA is opposed to Israeli settlements and victimization of Palestinians. Zionism emphasizes the victimization of Jews throughout history, but today who are the victims in Palestine? A South African made the following observation: "Those who think of themselves as victims eventually become the victimizers of others." Both Israel and the U.S. have to abandon imperialistic ambitions and begin to work for peace rather than the unending promotion of war.
