Several issues stand in the way of an agreement, including Turkish demands of unfettered access to the Gaza Strip, and Hamas activity in Turkey.17:16 11.02.16 | 0 comments
It's quite sad to hear a respected journalist like Helen Thomas repeating the same willfully ignorant drivel we hear from Mahmoud Ahmedinejad. What I'm speaking of in particular is the notion that Jews could or should have simply returned to countries where they're families had been slaughtered. There were Pogroms in Polans AFTER World War II, Helen. And if post-war eastern Europe was so pleasant for Jews, why did those living in the Soviet Union struggle so mightily to leave? On a more fundamental level, Thomas parrots Arab rejectionists by blithely denying the Jews' right to determination while howling over the fact that the poor Palestinians don't have sovereignty over every inch of the British Mandate. Very ugly stuff.
