There is very little logic in relinqueshing the golan. Reasons not to give up Golan: 1. Syria is very poor not a real threat without golan 2. Syria is a relatively weak coutry - not a real threat to Israel if we keep the Golan 3. The syrian regime is from a minority sect - could get overthrown at any given moment 4. The US is very angry at Syria for supporting Terror - mainly in Iraqi 5. The Golan has been in Israel's hands longer than in Syria's 6. Syria has absolutely no need for the Golan, accept to threaten Israel 7. Syria started 4 wars(48 67 73 82) and lost so we won the land - It's Israel by every right 8. Kav Habitzurim - Israel has a very fortified anti tank barrier 9. Israel can watch every move till damascus 10. The Golan is Israeli territoy by law - Israeli law Reasons to give up golan 1. maybe, perhaps Iran won't nuke Israel from syria they'll only nuke Israel from Iran 2. maybe Syria won't attack Israel 3. Hizbulla and Hamas will suddenly love Israel

from the article: This time, the IDF favors Syria
