I am frequent visitor to Israel. Drove last year first time from Tel Aviv fo Masada via Arad. When I passed all these bedouin shanytowns I thought that I took the wrong direction because most of them are on no road map. I was afraid that I may have crossed to West bank and was so happy to see the signs to Arad again and some proper civilization....It is really a shame how these people live. I have never seen such slums except in South Africa! Israel should really try to solve this problem, especially this demograhic boom. If I calculate correctly there will be more than 750000 arabs in the negev in 30 years! Very dangerous situation.....since they are also majority in some parts of the north....
